KEY ATTRIBUTES

Standardise and Simplify the System

The functions of organ donation, allocation, and transplantation are demystified with our processess.

Onboarding

Hospitals and Recipients are brought into the System seamlessly

Registration and Licensing

Hospitals register themselves for organ donation with a fee. Separate licences also have to be taken for each organ that they do transplantation for.

Recipient Management

Generates a unique identification number upon registration, and the patient is automatically transferred to the Waiting List.

Aadhaar Authentication

All details are updated with Aadhaar verification, either through OTP or fingerprint, after which the medical details are to be recorded.

User Management

Users roles are created by a particular hospital based on the requirement. The hospital contact can add any number of other users in the application.

Operations and Functioning

Smooth progression of the automated sequence for organ allotment

Organ Allocation

Organs are allocated to the patients (recipients) based on the order of priority on this waiting lists.

Waiting List

When an organ is generated, the top 50 patients (recipients) in-waiting are gathered on a list, with the order of priority based on the UID.

Workflows

There are three different kinds of workflows based on the differences of lists - Local Organ, Sharepool, and ALF (Acute Liver Failure) for poisoning emergencies.

Automation

Automated calls are made to all the hospitals based on the priority on the list (calls to every coordinator in each hospital, for all the 50 recipients on the priority list).

Final Selection

Culmination of all processes leading to transplantation and rescuing precious lives

Acceptance and Rejection

Concerned patient/hospital can either accept or decline organ donations at any step of the entire process. If rejection is done, a reason also has to be provided.

Logistics

After acceptance of organ, officer-in-charge does confirmation and updation of all the logistics of the organ transfer such as organ collection, person collecting, and timing.

Organ Assessment and Retrieval

Cross matching is done to check the compatibility of the organ and then organ is retrieved.

Final Allocation

The person on the list who finally accepts the organ after the priority is considered, will receive the organ and undergo transplant surgery.

Digitize Organ Donation and Help Save Lives

Transform the organ donation and allocation domain with technology and automation, and help to implement organ
transplantation within the critical and complex time frame required for it.

Industry and Sector

  • Complete automation of all the workflows in organ allocation is our crowning achievement.
  • Reduction of the entire organ donation and allocation process from 6-8 hours to just 1 hour.
  • Method simplification and limiting the confusion that exists presently in the sphere of organ allocation.
  • Automation of waitlists, priority lists, assessment status, logistics, assessment, retrieval, and final allocation.
  • Systematisation of organs into the Local Organ pool (in-Hospital list of recipients), the Sharepool (overall list of recipients), as well as for special cases.
  • User-friendly application interface where each step (donor identity, recipient identity, reason for recipient, reason for rejection, rejection step, condition and compatibility of organ, recipient hospital organ delivery in-charge, etc.) can be identified and checked.
  • Data secured locally in government servers. Privacy of data ensured with the latest security standards.
  • Storage and retrieval of all reports in the same place (including summary, details, history, etc.) removing any burden of physical documentation.

Donors and Recipients

  • Reduction in the organ allocation process from 6-8 hours to just 1 hour helps to save many recipient lives.
  • When an organ donor comes a particular hospital, the organs for which they have a licence goes to the Local Organ list of recipients who will then benefit.
  • Recipients in the Sharepool list receive all remaining organs from all the hospitals thus benefiting them.
  • Separate workflows for special cases such as Live Transplants (liver and kidney), and also for Acute Liver Failure (ALF) due to poisoning.
  • Distinct functionalities for inter-zonal as well as inter-state organ transfer and allocation, so that recipients elsewhere can also benefit.
  • Transparency in organ allocation such that no one can abuse or manipulate the system, with the group chat feature greatly servimg this purpose through notifications.
  • User-friendly interface in the mobile app, with easy-to-understand flows.
  • Provision for donors to come forward and pledge their organs to be donated (whenever they pass away), through the “donor pledge” feature.
